  1. please correct the information of kalivungan festival. i will explain further, because i am from north cotabato. firstly kalivungan is celebrated during the foundation anniversary of the province of north cotabato held at kidapawan city the capital city of the province. all municipalities of the province is invited to join the said street festival specifically on street dancing competition. during kalivungan 2011, contingent from the municipality of alamada won the grand price. FYI: alamada(alamada national high school) they were the holder of the title of grand champion in street dancing in halad festival 2003 and 2004 held at midsayap another municipality of cotabato. they decided to join aliwan 2003 bearing the name of halad festival of midsayap and won grand champion in aliwan fiesta 2003 and pamaskong aliwan 2003 street dancing competition..
and in aliwan 2006. another municipality from cotabato named pigcawayan won halad 2006 and represented halad festival on aliwan 2006 and won 4th place..
and lastly in aliwan 2008 a contingent living in originally in midsayap won halad 2008 and represented halad festival on aliwan 2008 and won 8th place. please do change the history or the rooster of winners for history’s sake. God bless. good luck for the region 12′s representative the kalivungan of the north cotabatio and the lembuhong festival of south cotabato. they won’t fail you as they get the championship title or they will land on the top 3.

  2. Hello Philippines and hello Aliwan Family…I am excited to witness for this year festival of festivals represented by different provinces and region in our country. I really feel mixed emotion knowing that its contingent’s supporters are too excited to begin the battle but sad to know that despite of those efforts and investment of each contingent there is criticism and negative feedback from left to right that can lead to a negative impression of this prestigious event. I would like also to share why people coming from other region are very noisy and “boastful” not proud of their own festival. A lot of comments and impression are coming from some region except eastern visayas region. People from this region are not too quite nor too noisy but they are sport-minded instead, they’re not even responding those comments and humiliation because they have confidence that they can show to our country their own festival and they are proud to represent their place for this big competition. As far as I know Leyte and the whole region 8 has its own beautiful festivals represented each municipality from Leyte and Samar. I believe Leyte always have new representatives each year to represents in Aliwan Fiesta because their giving a chance to other municipalities to promote their own festival. And before they represent to Aliwan they are also competing each other in Pintados Kasadyaan Festival of Festivals, so it’s considered Leytenos and Samarenos are already winners on their own little way no matter what the show going own. So Abuyog and Alang-alang Leyte. “Break a leg” I hope you will give your excellent performances and let the Philippines say WOW!!!Aliwan…WOW!!! Leyte…WOW Eastern Visayas Region
