We were extremely lucky to even see a Sailfin Water Lizard, or locally knows as ibid  one of the endemic species in the Philippines , plus a friendly monkey.

Whenever there is a magical place, I might get there, discover it and recreate the experience!

Sinapdan Island, Leyte

Sinapdan Island Leyte : A small island between the mountains and sea.

 Sinapdan is one of the islets near San Juanico bridge. It’s about a 10 minute pump-boat  ride from the port of Tacloban City.  This island is a destination of fun, bonding and leisure time with family and friends.

Everyone has a place where they go to escape all the pressures and worries of life. There is always that one spot that can soothe all your problems and troubles in times of stress. For me, The beach is the ultimate cure to all of my problems. While I am there, all of my obligations are suddenly erased.

I was so lucky to see a Sailfin Water Lizard, or locally knows as ibid  one of the 165 endemic species in the Philippines included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s ‘Red List’ of endangered species.

 It only proves that having thousands of islands in the Philippines also meant that our wild-life and marine-life are among the most diverse in the world

 This Island has its own unique feeling. I love it ^_^

Hidden Beauty of Patio Victoria Beach Resort

I had my “Semestral Break” Vacation in Tacloban City my “dearest” Hometown. And with that few days of vacation i was able to wander around the city to take pictures for my photography class ( I actually got bored staying at home ) .

I decided to visit the old Sahara/baluarte Beach which is known now as Patio Victoria Beach Resort and I was expecting for something new to my eyes.

I have seen a lot of improvements there: the pool and the “Reception Area” was renovated and it was cleaner now than before. The resort is still reconstructing  “renovating” few parts of the resort. I like the place more now than before.

The resort has a World War II relic, a Japanese Pill Box which later than captured by the Americans as their shelter for aerial bombs

Sinulog 2011 Route

If you love taking usual things further? Take a tour around the streets of Cebu, because when the first time i did that, I learned a lot of things I wouldn’t have learned , Bargains are everywhere from top Sinulog shirts, native accessories from Cebu, Cebu’s Best’s like Shamrock Otaps, Dried Mangoes, Lechon Cebu, Guitars etc.. along the side streets of metro Cebu which only Cebu can produce the best of this things, and I tell you now you will never see a real bargain unless you shop here at CEBU.

The picture below will be the route for the Sinulog 2010 Grand parade, you should remember to take note of this map. You can even print it so you won’t forget.

One thing is for sure, You will enjoy a lot once you have seen Sinulog and take home some souvenirs from Cebu.. Take a big Scream and say this out loud… “Pit-Senyor!”
