Sinulog Festival 2012 winners has been announced and the champions are first timers, contingents this year are amazingly better than last year the style, surprises,routine, choreography,music and costumes has evolved through the years

I bet everyone did their best, with a bigger prize this year each contingents offered “sweat” and “blood” just to make everything perfect.

Sinulog Festival Queen 2012

The Search for the Sinulog’s Best Lead Dancer

The Search for the most graceful and lovely lead dancer of a Sinulog dance contingent has been crowned.

Out of 14 Beautiful ladies only one will be hailed as Sinulog Festival Queen 2012, They are chosen based on how the ladies bring themselves as they dance gracefully bearing the image of the Sto. Niño.

1st Runner-up –  Pasaka Festival, Tanauan, Leyte

2nd Runner-up - Tribu Lingganay of Alang-Alang, Leyte

3rd Runner-up – Sandurot Festival of Dumaguete

4th Runner-up - Lanao del Norte

Crowned as the Sinulog Festival Queen 2012, besting 13 other contestants, is Basak San Nicolas’ Lumad Basakanon’s Lead Dancer Apriel Smith with three special award” Best in Sinulog Costume, Best in Festival costume and best Solo Performer” her beauty “dominated” the rest Lumad Basakanon and Sandurot Festival was my favorite their beauty  impressed me and caught my eyes.

This years Sinulog Festival Queen was awesome it was full of surprises, though it rained (thanks to my raincoat) the performance was still on its best.

Philippine Festivals

Philippines is celebrating different festivals all year round, each festival has its own creative style and culture, each has its own beat and vision.

One of the most popular festival in the country is Sinulog festival it showcases dances and artistry from street dancing, float competition and Festival Queen pageant represented by each contingent that will participate for the “free-Interpretation” and “Sinulog Based” competition,  The festival commemorates the Cebuano people’s pagan origin, and their acceptance of Roman Catholicism. Sinulog festival the grandest festival in Asia and the mother of all Philippine Festivals will never fail you and will always make your heart beat like drums with excitement and fun.

You can only see grandiose Festivals only and only in the Philippines, I bet NO tourist would regret attending and witness such wonderful Festivals IN THE PHILIPPINES.
