Revisiting Magellans Cross & Sto Niño Church de Cebu

Cebu Cradle of Christianity Home of Sr. Sto. Nino

Magellans Cross

It was so sudden that i attended mass in Sto. Church, I usually go to mass at Mabolo church. anyway a took pictures after the mass and wandered  around.

Painted on the ceiling of the shrine is the scene that relives the moments of the erection of the cross on Cebu Island

Magellan’s Cross, is Cebu’s most important historical landmark and an important shrine.  I bet that your travel in Cebu will not be complete without visiting this landmark,Magellan’s Cross was planted by Ferdinand Magellan when he arrived at Cebu City on 21st April, 1521. The Magellan’s Cross is kept in a small chapel, which is next to Basilica Minore del Santo Nino.

Taoist Temple, Cebu

The Majestic Taoist Temple, Cebu

Cebu Taoist Temple is one of the main attractions of Cebu. You could say you just landed in China! Taoist Temple is  located in Beverly Hills Subdivision, Cebu, Philippines.  Local and foreigners usually visit the temple in the afternoon time.  I suggest if you’re planning to visit the temple be sure you’re there before 4pm.

One can enjoy strolling around the temple in less than an hour. you can take pictures of the awesome place and relaxing are the most common things done inside the temple. and also taking pictures of the Gods and inside the prayer rooms are strictly prohibited.

I just love the view in this place. I really enjoyed seeing the colorful and archly roof edges,  of course dragons are everywhere, I even imagined Mulan is somewhere in the temple ^_^

The entrance to the temple is a replica of the great wall of china

Near somewhere the entrance you’l see a pagoda ,  I find it pretty nice while the sun rays are peeping from the small windows

It is better to bring your own vehicle if you’re visiting the place because it is about 10 minutes away from the main road to the temple .  If you ride a taxi going inside try to ask the taxi driver to wait or if not you have to walk 3 kilometers just to find a taxi.
